Pastor John Fitchner

Beth & I grew up right here in Marietta. I graduated from Wheeler H.S. in 1975 and Beth graduated from Walton H.S. in 1981. After graduating from Liberty Bible College, I was an Assistant Pastor at Liberty Church in Birmingham, Alabama for 5 years. In Bible College the Lord spoke to me that my lifetime calling would be here in Marietta. That calling was fulfilled in July 1986 as Beth and I pioneered Liberty Church. For four months we met on Sunday nights in a Lutheran Church Building. Beginning in November 1986, we rented the Strand Theater on the square in Marietta for 7 years.

In the fall of 1993 we moved into our permanent facility here on Hwy. 41. We look forward to pouring the rest of our lives into reaching Marietta for Jesus Christ.
